I got an Owie.
Just in from a loyal pretend reader… Carl Landry was shot very early this morning.
The incident happened around 4:30 this morning on Leeland close to the Toyota Center (UPDATE – 3100 Leeland Southeast of Downtown if you believe the Chronicle). Landry was side-swiped by another driver after the Rockets returned from Charlotte New Orleans. He was wounded in the calf by a bullet and has already been released from the hospital. No word yet if the nurses pinched him for not wearing green for St. Patty’s Day as he was leaving Hermann Hospital.
The early estimates are that he will be out about a month rehabbing.

Seems like a reasonable reaction. Get in an accident, shoot the other guy, even if it was your fault. I love Houston.

wtf was he doing in the 3100 block of Leeland anyway? the only time I’ve EVAR driving down that street was to go eat at Kanomwan on Telephone Rd (leeland turns into telephone rd)
okay, fox says 300 block of leeland (which means he was going home) and the chron says 3100 block of leeland – BIG difference
