We’ve all become the same, we dress the same ways, only our accents change.

Fly me to the moon, let me play among the stars.
The Cavaliers live to play another game. The series is now at three games to two in favor of the Magic as both teams head to the Florida peninsula for the sixth game. The Cavaliers at least afforded their city the respect of not giving up on the series prematurely on their own court (though possibly that could all be for naught IF this series goes to game seven).
Maybe it’s because the Rockets were knocked out more than a week ago, but I’m all NBA’d out.
The most entertainment that I indulge in right now (that’s basketball related) is what happens to all of the advertisers if either the Cavs or the Lakers don’t make it to the NBA Finals (please, don’t let either make it! please!!). Will Nike recycle the puppet campaign? Will VitaminWater give up on my favorite line? “Inside. Butter. Outside. Handles like a dream.” Will David Stern’s head explode? Tune in next time to find out!!
Whatever… Let’s just move on to the Houston sports updates (cross your fingers that they are more exciting):
TEXANS – Steve Slaton doesn’t want to suffer the sophomore slump. Wow. And here it was I thought he was looking forward to failing to live up to expectations. I hear that’s the cool thing to do. Just wait until January of next year when Fourth and Fifty charges you twice as much to view the site and has half the number of posts per day. (Feel lucky that it hasn’t happened yet, actually.)
ROCKETS – Even though none of the Rockets made the All Titty-Baby Team perhaps Carl Landry would like to answer questions as to why he didn’t receive such a (dis)honor. Never mind… Carl Landry did a ESPN live chat yesterday. Damn you Google Alerts!!! I need more prompt information! So, let’s revisit a favorite story. THE Random Guy and I are tag-teaming this “Chinese Investors” story better than Peter North and Ron Jeremy ever could…
The newest tangent to article that we posted two out of three days comes from the Washington Post… I’m pausing so that everyone can take a deep breath…
Apparently, the Chinese feel that the most logical step is that Yao Ming will be moving to the Cavaliers since a Chinese investment group is buying part of the ownership. Don’t kill the messenger blogger. I mean, you have to realize this is just the fantasy inside the heads of the Chinese and that the Washington Post just threw it up on their website to generate traffic, but still. I don’t want to be seeing those words together in the same sentence again. Go back to worrying about what you’re going to do with the Bird’s Nest and oppressing Tibet and stop worrying about the NBA over here.
ASTROS – You can’t lose on days that you don’t play. So, let’s take this as a “no news is good news” scenario.
